barry's haweli haiku.

i just enjoyed a decadent lunch buffet at haweli restaurant. it's cheap, it's all you can eat, and the naan is something to cheer about.
hey naan you’re so fine,
you’re so fine you blow my mind.
hey naan! (clap, clap, clap)
who knew tomatoes
could merge with cream and spices
to make chicken soar?
sweet mellow fragrance
so better than rice pudding.
oh mango custard!

  1. this is not fair:
-your food haikus have me hungry.
-i'm stranded in a cubicle and the closest edible items are: half a cup of tim horton's coffee from yesterday and some gross peppermint candies.

  2. I love that place! I was lucky enough to go for a dinner on the boss so I ordered everything expensive. They have a "for two" meal which is amazing. It costs $65 (each!), but it was really good.

The belly dancer was a bit much though. She kept wanting people to come and dance, but everyone was busy eating their pakora!

  3. Hi Barry,

Yum, I also love Haweli! I see you have us on your blogroll, and I have added you to ours as well. Too bad we didn't find each other sooner, there was just a big Edmonton Food Bloggers meet and greet. Check out http://www.onlyhereforthefood.ca/2009/02/26/edmonton-foodie-meetup-1/ to see it. Hopefully you will be able to join us next time :-)
